Introduction
Over time, every workspace collects people who no longer use Spikerz. Former employees are never removed, and invites sit unaccepted for months. Each of them is a seat that nobody is reviewing.
Member Activity shows you who is active, who has gone quiet, and which invites are still waiting, so you can review access and clean it up in a few clicks.
Nothing is ever removed automatically. Spikerz shows you who may no longer need access, and you decide what to do with each one.
Member Activity is available to workspace Admins. Team managers also see the status and last activity of the members they can see, but cleaning up members in bulk is for Admins only. This guide explains member statuses, the Members page, how to clean up members and invites, and the monthly activity digest.
Member Statuses
Every member of your workspace has one of three statuses:
Active - the member has opened this workspace recently.
Inactive - the member has had no activity in this workspace for longer than your inactivity period (60 days by default).
Pending - the person was invited but has not accepted the invite yet.
What Counts as Activity
Activity means opening this workspace in Spikerz: signing in to it (including through SSO), visiting it, or working in it. Activity is recorded once per day.
Only activity in this workspace counts. A member who works in another workspace but never opens this one becomes Inactive here.
Joining the workspace counts as activity, so a newly added member is never marked Inactive before the inactivity period has passed.
The Members Page
Tap the top-right profile icon > Settings > Members to open the list of everyone in your workspace.
What You'll See About Each Member
Status
An Active, Inactive, or Pending tag on every row.
Last activity
The date the member last opened the workspace, such as "Oct 6, 2026". Members with no recorded activity show No activity recorded. Pending invites show the date they were sent, for example "Invited Sep 15, 2026". When an invite is sent again, this date moves to the day it was resent.
Click the Last activity column header to sort members from most to least recent, or the other way around.
Filtering by Status
The quick filters at the top of the page show how many members have each status: All, Active, Inactive, and Pending. Select one to see only those members. The counts follow your search and any other filters, so each one shows exactly how many rows selecting it would display.
For more control, select the Filter button and combine Status, Role and Assets:
Role - for example, to see only inactive admins.
Assets - members who can reach a social account, whether it was given to them directly, through a collection, or because they are an admin. Choose is not to see members who cannot reach it.
Exporting the Members List
Select Export to download the members list as an Excel (.xlsx) file. The export applies the filters currently selected on the page, and lists each member's name, role, status, Spikerz assets and collections. For example, select Inactive first to export only inactive members. See Exporting your data to Excel for more about exports.
Cleaning Up Members and Invites
Admins can use the checkboxes on the Members page to act on several members or invites at once. Team managers see each member's status and last activity, but no checkboxes or bulk actions.
Step 1: Select the members or invites
Tick the checkbox next to each member or invite you want to act on. To select every row on the current page, use Select all on this page.
The selection only covers rows on the current page that match your search and filter. Changing the page clears the selection.
You cannot select yourself.
Step 2: Choose an action
As soon as you select a row, a bar appears at the bottom of the page. It shows how many rows are selected and the actions you can take:
Remove - removes the selected members. You choose whether to remove their Spikerz seat, their roles on the platforms, or both. Pending invites are not included, and neither are members who were already removed and are still in their 60-day Employee Protection period. If your selection contains only pending invites, Remove is greyed out.
Resend invite - sends the invite email again to the pending invites in your selection. Each resent invite gets a new Invited date, so the Flag pending invite after period starts again from that day.
Revoke invite - cancels the pending invites in your selection. The people who received them can no longer use them to join.
Resend invite and Revoke invite are under the "..." menu next to Remove. They only act on pending invites, so any active or inactive members in your selection are left untouched. If some invites could not be sent, Spikerz tells you how many went out so you can try the others again later.
To act on a single invite, use the "..." menu at the end of its row instead. There, the same actions are called Resend invite and Cancel invitation.
Step 3: Confirm
Remove opens a window with the same two options as removing a single member:
Remove native roles
Not selected by default. Each selected member is listed with the number of assets they hold roles on. Tick the members whose platform roles should go, or tap Show details to choose specific assets. Members with no native roles cannot be ticked. Roles Spikerz cannot remove are listed so you can finish them in the platform itself. If Permissions is not turned on for your workspace, the window shows Removing native roles isn't available in this workspace. instead, and only the Spikerz seat can be removed.
Remove Spikerz seat
Selected by default. Each member is listed with what they lose, such as "3 Spikerz assets · 2 collections". Tap Show details to see the full list.
Review your selection, then tap Remove. Revoke invite asks you to confirm in a Revoke invites dialog.
⚠️ When people have left your organization, select both options. Removing only the Spikerz seat leaves their access on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and other platforms in place. See Offboarding a User from Spikerz: Manual vs. SCIM for the full process.
⚠️ Members protected by Employee Protection keep a Member role with no access for 60 days after removal. This gives them time to remove Spikerz protection from their personal accounts. While they are in this period, Remove skips them. You can remove them fully once that period ends.
Member Activity Alerts Settings
Tap the top-right profile icon > Settings > Workspace and scroll to the Member activity alerts section. Only admins can see and change these settings.
Monthly activity digest
Turns the monthly email to admins on or off. It is off by default.
Mark member as inactive after
How long a member can go without activity in Spikerz before they are marked Inactive: 30, 60, or 90 days. The default is 60 days.
Flag pending invite after
How long an invite can go unaccepted before it is listed in the monthly email: 7, 14, or 30 days. The default is 14 days. Resending an invite starts this period again.
The inactivity period applies everywhere: it decides who is marked Inactive on the Members page and who is listed in the email. Changes are saved as soon as you make them.
The Monthly Activity Digest
When the Monthly activity digest is on, every admin of the workspace receives a member activity check by email on the 1st of each month. The digest is available to workspaces on a paid plan.
If there are no inactive members and no invites older than your pending period, no email is sent.
What's in the Email
Subject - the workspace name with a short count, for example "Acme: 3 inactive members and 1 pending invite".
Inactive members - for example "3 members with no activity for 60+ days", with each member's name, role and last activity, starting with the longest inactive.
Pending invites - for example "1 invite not accepted for 14+ days", with each invited email and how long ago the invite was sent.
Review members - opens the Members page with the Inactive filter selected, or Pending when the email only lists invites. The filter shows everyone with that status, not only the people in the email.
A section is left out when it has nothing to show. To change the thresholds or stop the email, go to Settings > Workspace.
Tips & Best Practices
Turn on the Monthly activity digest so access reviews happen every month without anyone having to remember them.
Use the Assets filter with Inactive to review who still has access to your most important accounts.
Choose an inactivity period that matches how your team works. Use 30 days for tightly controlled workspaces, and 90 days if some members only check in occasionally.
When inactive members have left your organization, select Remove native roles as well as Remove Spikerz seat, so their platform access goes too.
For invites that are still pending, try Resend invite first. Revoke invites that stay unanswered after that.
Review the Pending filter after onboarding new team members, to catch invites that went to the wrong address.
To keep a record of each access review, select the Inactive filter and use Export before you remove anyone.
