Suggested and automatic replies close that gap. Spikerz drafts a reply in your brand's voice, and you decide how much control to hand over: review each draft before it goes out, or let Spikerz post it for you.
The default mode is Suggest reply, where Spikerz writes the draft and you send it. Nothing is posted on your behalf unless you deliberately choose Auto-reply.
With this feature, you can:
• Get a ready-to-send reply on the comments your triggers catch
• Send a suggested reply in one click, edit it first, or ask for a different one
• Choose a reply style per trigger, so a complaint and a compliment are handled differently
• Write your own replies and have Spikerz rotate between them
• Let Spikerz reply automatically to the comment types you trust it with
• Teach Spikerz your brand facts and tone so replies stay accurate and on-voice
⚠️ Reply settings are configured per asset. Use Apply to all assets when you want a trigger to cover your whole environment.
Before You Start: Teach Spikerz Your Brand
A reply is only as good as what Spikerz knows about you. Open the Comments cleaner page, go to the Settings tab, and complete the Brand section first.
Knowledge
Upload the documents Spikerz may use as facts: product sheets, price lists, policies, and FAQs. Supported file types are PDF, XLSX, PNG, and JPEG, and you can upload more than one file. Spikerz only states facts that appear in these files, so anything missing here will never appear in a reply.
Brand voice
The communication style Spikerz uses in replies: how casual or formal, brief or thorough, playful or serious, warm or professional, apologetic or confident. You can also describe your brand personality in your own words.
Asset context
The asset type and industry Spikerz uses as background context.
How to Set Up a Reply
Step 1
On the Comments cleaner page, open the Settings tab.
Step 2
Choose which comments the reply should apply to. Three kinds of trigger can produce replies:
• Predefined triggers – The categories Spikerz maintains: Spam, Scam, Offensive language, and Phishing. Set the automation directly on the category.
• AI topics – Select Add trigger and describe the topic you want detected.
• Custom keywords – Select Add trigger and list the exact words or phrases you want caught.
Step 3
Configure the trigger. Give it a Trigger name of up to 30 characters, used to organize your triggers.
For Custom keywords, type a keyword and press enter to add it. Each one appears as a chip you can remove.
For AI topics, fill in the Topic description, describing the comments you want detected and adding helpful examples.
Step 4
Select the action Spikerz takes when the trigger matches:
• Auto-hide – Automatically hides matching comments.
• Auto-delete – Automatically deletes matching comments.
• Auto-reply – Automatically posts a reply.
• Suggest reply – Suggests a reply you can send in one click, or edit first.
Auto-hide and Auto-delete finish here. The two reply actions continue to the next step.
Step 5
Choose how the reply should read. Pick one of the five agents, or write your own.
• Community builder – Thanks and engages commenters, building rapport and inviting them to keep interacting.
• Promoter – Surfaces the most relevant offer or benefit and points the commenter to the next step.
• Expert – Answers questions directly and accurately using your knowledge base.
• Resolver – Acknowledges complaints with empathy, takes ownership, and offers a way to fix it.
• Listener – Replies with brief, genuine empathy so commenters feel heard.
Or select Write your own and skip the agent entirely. Add your replies under Rotating replies. Add more than one and Spikerz rotates between them at random, so the same line isn't repeated. Replies you write are used exactly as you wrote them.
Step 6
Select Apply to all assets if the trigger should protect every connected asset, then select Save. Applying to all assets asks you to confirm first.
Scan Status and Automations
Every trigger in the Settings tab carries two dropdowns.
Scan status
Active scan means Spikerz looks for matching comments. Inactive scan stops the trigger and disables its automation.
Automation
What happens on a match: No automations, Suggest reply, Auto-reply, Auto-hide, or Auto-delete.
No automations is useful on its own: the trigger still finds and tags matching comments so you can review them, without acting on anything.
Working with Suggested Replies
A comment gets a suggested reply only when it was caught by a trigger whose action is Suggest reply. The suggestion appears on the comment card in the Comments tab, and in the comment drawer.
Four actions are available on every suggestion:
• Reply – Posts the suggested reply as written. The comment is marked Replied.
• Edit – The pencil opens the comment drawer with the reply already filled in, so you can adjust the wording and send it from there.
• Regenerate – The circular arrow draws a different reply for the same comment.
• Dismiss – The X removes the suggestion without replying.
Every one of these actions teaches Spikerz. Sending a reply as-is, editing it before sending, and asking for a new one all feed back into the suggestions you get next time.
After You Send
Once you send a suggested reply, Spikerz confirms that the reply was saved to improve future suggestions. If you'd rather it not learn from that particular reply, select Don't use this. The reply stays posted, and only the learning is undone.
Asking for a Reply on Any Comment
You don't have to wait for a trigger. Open the ⋯ menu on any comment and select Suggest reply. Spikerz drafts one and adds it to the card.
Finding Comments That Are Waiting on You
Use Filter and set Status to Suggested reply to see only the comments that have a draft waiting. This is the fastest way to work through the queue in one pass.
The quick filters above the feed remain available for reviewing what has already been handled: All, Alerts, Deleted, Hidden, Replied, and Resolved.
How Automatic Replies Are Paced
When you use Auto-reply, Spikerz posts on your behalf, so it deliberately works at a human pace rather than replying to everything at once:
• Replies are spaced out and capped per account, well below the platform's own limits.
• Wording is varied so the same reply is never posted repeatedly.
• Spikerz only replies within the window each platform allows for interacting with a comment.
• If a platform signals a restriction, Spikerz pauses automation for that account and alerts you rather than continuing.
This means automatic replies appear gradually over a stream of comments. That is expected, and it is what keeps your accounts in good standing.
