Enabling two-factor authentication on LinkedIn helps secure your account and protect your connection to your company’s social assets. Follow the steps below to activate it and integrate it with Spikerz.

Open LinkedIn Settings

Step 1: Log in to your LinkedIn account.

Step 2: Click the "Me" icon in the top-right corner of your homepage.

Step 3: From the dropdown, select "Settings & Privacy."

Step 4: In the left-hand menu, click "Sign in & Security."

Activate Two-Step Verification

Step 5: Click "Two-step verification."

Step 6: Click "Set up" and choose Authenticator App.

Step 7: Tap "Continue" and fill in your password.

Step 8: LinkedIn will show an activation code (or QR code).

Copy the code and paste it into the Spikerz app under the LinkedIn section.

Complete Verification with Spikerz

Step 9: You’ll now be asked to enter your login code.

You’ll find this code inside the Spikerz platform (skip the backup codes section for now).

Finalize Setup

Step 10: Once entered, your 2FA will be active. You’ll see a confirmation message:

Two-Factor Authentication is now enabled!

Step 11: Tap "Done" to continue.

Backup Your Recovery Codes

Step 12: LinkedIn will display your Recovery Codes.

Copy them and paste them into the Spikerz backup codes section to ensure full account recovery support.

You're all set! Your LinkedIn account is now protected with Two-Factor Authentication and securely connected to Spikerz for ongoing monitoring and recovery protection.

If You're Already Using an Authentication App

To connect your current app-based 2FA to Spikerz:

Step 1: Click “Change verification method” next to your current authentication method.

Step 2: Select “Authenticator App”

Step 3: Click “Continue” to receive a new setup key

Step 4: Enter password.

  1. Open Spikerz, go to LinkedIn, and enter the new key

  2. Enter the code from Spikerz into LinkedIn

  3. Save the new recovery codes in Spikerz

This step won’t affect your current login but ensures Spikerz has secure, synced access for monitoring and recovery.
