After a new deployment, the only action required is a hard refresh and clean cache of your browser. This forces the browser to bypass the cached version and load the newest platform assets.

When to Perform a Hard Refresh

  • After receiving notice of a new deployment.

  • If the platform looks broken, missing styles, or doesn’t behave as expected after an update.

  • If you’re asked by the dev team to “clear cache”.

Empty Cache and Hard Reload – Simple Guide (All Browsers)

Google Chrome

Steps:

  1. Press F12 or Ctrl + Shift + I (Windows) / Cmd + Option + I (Mac) to open DevTools

  2. Right-click on the Reload button (near the url)

  3. Click “Empty Cache and Hard Reload”

Microsoft Edge (Chromium-based)

Steps:

  1. Open DevTools with F12 or Ctrl + Shift + I

  2. Right-click the 🔁 Reload button

  3. Select “Empty Cache and Hard Reload”

Works the same as Chrome.

Brave (Chromium-based)

Steps:

Same as Chrome:

  1. Open DevTools

  2. Right-click the Reload icon

  3. Choose “Empty Cache and Hard Reload”

Mozilla Firefox

Step 1: Hard Refresh (no full cache clear)

  • Press Ctrl + F5 or Shift + F5

Step 2: Manually clear cache

  1. Go to Menu ≡Settings

  2. Navigate to Privacy & Security

  3. Scroll to Cookies and Site Data → Click Clear Data...

  4. Select Cached Web ContentClear

⚠ Firefox does not have a one-click “Empty Cache and Hard Reload” like Chrome.

Safari (Mac only)

Steps:

  1. Enable Developer Menu if not already:

    • Safari > Settings > Advanced > Check ✅ “Show Develop menu in menu bar”

  2. In the menu bar, go to DevelopEmpty Caches

  3. Then press Cmd + R to reload

That’s it - a quick hard refresh is all you need to access the latest Spikerz deployment.
