What Is Account Lockout Protection?

Spikerz’s Account Lockout Protection feature is designed to proactively detect and respond to unauthorized access attempts on your social media accounts. It monitors changes like device logins, suspicious activity, and contact detail changes—and can automatically rotate passwords or alert your team before damage is done.

With this feature, you can:

  • Detect logins from suspicious countries or devices

  • Monitor critical changes like 2FA, phone numbers, or login behavior

  • Automatically rotate your password when risky behavior is detected

  • Customize the triggers based on how your team uses each account

This is your digital panic button — configured in advance to protect your social media assets without delay.

How to Set Up Account Lockout Protection

Step 1
Go to the Account Protection section from the left-hand sidebar of your Spikerz dashboard.

Step 2
Scroll to the Account Lockout section at the bottom of the page.

Step 3
Tap Activate Protection to begin setup.

Step 4
Tap Next when prompted to enable automatic password rotation.
This step prepares the system to take action if risky activity is detected.

Step 5
You’ll be asked to add information about:

  • Countries you typically log in from

  • Devices you regularly use to manage your social accounts

This helps Spikerz identify unusual logins and block suspicious activity without false alarms.

Step 6
Enable Scanning for New Connections.
This allows Spikerz to monitor future logins and connection attempts in real time.

Step 7
Now, go to the Auto-Response Rules section. Here you can decide what will trigger automatic protection actions like password changes.

You can choose from these 4 rule types:

  • A change in your 2FA method

  • A login from a suspicious or unusual location

  • A phone number change on your account

  • A login from an unrecognized device

Select the rules that make sense for your account setup.

Important Advisory

Do not activate automatic password changes until you’ve consulted with a Spikerz expert.
Setting this feature incorrectly can lock you or your team out of the account. Let us help you review your risk level, team setup, and platform behavior before activating full automation.

What Happens After Activation?

Once fully set up:

  • Spikerz will continuously monitor for suspicious changes or connections

  • If a rule is triggered, you’ll receive alerts or see automatic actions (if enabled)

  • Your account is protected—even while you sleep

You can return anytime to fine-tune settings, disable triggers, or consult with our experts.

Tips & Best Practices

  • Add only trusted countries and devices to avoid false positives

  • Start with notifications only, then move to auto-actions once you’re confident

  • If your team changes often, keep device and access logs updated

  • Stay subscribed to Spikerz alerts and assign team members to receive real-time notifications
